“I feel like we just went through a tornado”
-My friend’s statement after getting off of the ferry and dodging all of the tourist stands
Our last night in Koh Phangan, we loved it so much we almost ditched our ferry to Koh Phi Phi the next day, but we are glad we didn’t.
The beauty of tiny Koh Phi Phi has sparked travelers interests’ near and far, and although this beach town gets pretty touristy, it’s worth the hassle. Koh Phi Phi’s surreal blue water, high sharp rock structures, and lush green mountains make it the perfect place to take snapshots that will make all your friend’s at home jealous. And, hey, it’s not bad for the party crowd either.
Our problem is that we only had 2 days to spend here, 3 tops. Koh Phi Phi is small, but we had a large agenda. Luckily, our first night there, someone recommended that we sign up for Bobs Booze cruise. Now, I know this sounds super touristy and American of us, but Bob’s Booze Cruise has a lot more to offer than just drinking on a boat. Let me explain….
1. First Stop on Bobs Booze Cruise: Feeding MONKEYS
Located in Ton Sai Bay, Monkey Beach is a popular destination for people daring enough to feed wild monkeys. They literally dive out of the trees for the chance to have a banana, I wish I was that passionate about anything.
2. Second Stop on Bobs Booze Cruise: CLIFF JUMPING
**yes they made us wear those crocs**
The scariest part about this wasn’t even the height, it was how sharp the rocks were. Be careful!
3. Third Stop on Bobs Booze Cruise: A Quick Drink Break in PI-LEH BAY
Pi -Leh Bay is the coolest place I’ve ever had the pleasure of drinking a beer…floating in crystal clear water and surrounded by sky high limestone walls.
4. Fourth Stop on Bobs Booze Cruise: Snorkeling at LOH SAMAH BAY
Loh Samah Bay is a popular snorkeling spot where sharks and turtles are sometimes spotted. From here, you can climb a rope or take a small archway through the rock face and arrive at Maya Beach.
5.Fifth Stop on Bobs Booze Cruise: MAYA BAY
Maya Bay was made popular by Garland’s book The Beach, and shortly after by the movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio. It has become the most popular attraction in all of Koh Phi Phi. Good luck leaving, its heartbreaking.
6. Last Stop on Bobs Booze Cruise: Sunset at WANG LONG BAY
Finish the cruise in by watching the sunset between the rocks in Wang Long Bay, an unforgettable experience.
So, on Bob’s Booze Cruise, you get all this AND unlimited free beer. This cruise is a great way to fit a lot of activities into one day, not to mention it’s a ton of fun and you’ll make a lot of new friends. Thinking of booking a trip? Feel free to ask questions below!
Hi
Can one book 1 or 2 days before the time? I have asked the people that work there and they say it is best to book ahead of time, but I don’t really want to incur extra fees with the transfers.
It is only my boyfriend and I that need a spot. We are going in late November/early December
Thanks!
Hi Amy,
Yes, you can book online ahead of time if you want. I booked my tour when I was there (as did everyone else I knew), but that was a few years ago so it may have been less popular. How many days are you in Phi Phi? If you’re there for a few days, I would wait.
thanks for reading!

Hi,
I’ve heard about the crazy crowds at Maya Bay, does Bob’s Booze Cruise enter Maya Bay after the crowds leave, or while it’s still crowded?
Stephanie
Hi Stephanie,
When I visited, Maya Bay wasn’t that crowded, there were people there but I was still able to get pictures without people in my shots. I believe that Bobs booze cruise arrives at Maya in the afternoon after most of the tourists leave. However, I also did this two years ago, so I would look at their facebook group or tags on Instagram and see what other people’s pictures look like.
Thanks and have fun!

How much was Bob’s Booze Cruise?
Hi Kristin,
The prices are here: http://phiphiboozecruise.com/prices/ Women are 2500 baht which is ~70 USD. It may seem expensive for Thailand but it’s all you can drink and they do a ton of activities. Once you get to Phi Phi, there will be other options for boat tours, but I still love Bobs!
Thanks for reading!

Hey awesome blog.. 🙂
In regards to the Bob’s cruise , did you do the speedboat or sailing boat.. Also was there any kayaking involved.
Hi John,
Thanks for reading! I was on the speedboat. As I remember, both boats have different advantages. The sailboat fills up first and has tubing/kayaking that is not available on the speedboat. However, the speedboat can go inside one of the bay areas that the sailboat isn’t allowed into. If you email Bob’s Booze Cruise or go to the stand, they can probably tell you more. Plan to sign up the day before since things fill up! Let me know if you have any other questions, you’ll have a blast!
